Our 2026 Volleyball Ambassador, Ellice, was the star of Legislative Hall as she and her Direct Support Professional, Marti, shared her story about the incredible difference Easterseals Delaware & Maryland's Eastern Shore has made in her life.

Legislators gathered to recognize her and the organization's vital work, and many were reminded why they proudly take part each year in the Easterseals/CAI Volleyball Challenge.

Hearing directly from Ellice brought the mission to life, highlighting how the event helps fund essential services that empower people with disabilities to live, learn, work, and play in their communities.

Last night at Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen, Delaware legislators and their supporters stepped in to serve and help raise money for their Easterseals VB teams. Thank you to State Treasurer Colleen Davis, Sens. Nicole Poore, Tizzy Lockman, Kyra Hoffner, Reps. Mike Smith, Sophie Phillips, Kendra Johnson, Mara Gorman, Cyndie Romer, Kerri Evelyn Harris, Alonna Berry and Josue Ortega—and everyone who came out to support Easterseals services for children and adults with disabilities.
