Happy Dance. The first (of many) doctor appointments happened today and it was wonderful. Phillip's recovery is going great after surgery. Can't keep a good man down! He even stopped into the store for a while. Will continue to pop in from time to time as he gets stronger - can't drive or lift anything for a while. So Happy. Thanks again to all our Emporium friends and family for everything you have done for us at this time. Be seeing you at The Emporium.

GREAT NEWS! Phillip is home from the hospital. Thank you for all your prayers and concerns. Nurse Deborah will close the store a little earlier- 5:30 - so she can take care of her patient. Thank you for your understanding. Be seeing you and celebrating Phillip's return soon at The Emporium. Doing the happy dance!!!!!

Thank you to every one for your comments and your prayers. Phillip's surgery went well. It's been a long day and he is resting. He will be in ICU for a couple more days. Be seeing you soon. We have the best community of friends and family. Thank you.

The Emporium will be closed Friday, October 24th as we have a surgical procedure scheduled. Our wonderful helpers will be there Saturday and Sunday our normal hours to help with your needs. They will be seeing you at The Emporium. Thank you for all you do.

It was a wonderful Fall Festival in New Castle last Saturday and we hope all had a good time. Thank you for coming out! Now we start thinking about the holidays. We have a couple of new vendors we are trying out - Cobble Hill puzzles (we still love White Mountain), but the other has more children's puzzles and a delicious candle company! Starting in 1775, it took 12 years to create a new nation and a new government. We are flying the Betsy Ross flag at The Emporium all week and have free constitutions. All we have to do is look around at the rest of the world - we are not perfect here - and be thankful for the ideas and the sacrifices that have been been, both then, and in the years since then. Be thankful.

Recently received a summer newsletter from Wetzsel seeds with summer planting guide. Thought I would pass these on: Okra will produce pods into the fall, Cucumbers Straight 8's , Radishes - try Cherry Belle - ready in 30 days, Bush Beans with 60 day maturity ( we have contenders, french filet and a yellow bean I just forgot the name of!!!, turnips - greens now - roots in fall, lettuce and greens planted in partial shade, well watered for fall salads. basil - keep pinching off the flower and start rosemary now for next year. You thought you were done planting the garden for this year. Thank you for all you do. We appreciate you. We still have seeds. Be seeing you at The Emporium.
