This case of a 10-year-old Retriever mix is a good example of what thoughtful multimodal care can look like.
The dog presented with acute left hind limb lameness and a prior diagnosis of left medial patellar luxation. Radiographs revealed bilateral stifle DJD with joint effusion and left pelvic limb muscle atrophy — findings consistent with bilateral CCL instability.
Rather than surgical intervention, the treatment protocol incorporated two complementary modalities: Laser and PRP.
