I’ll admit it… I’m a total geek when it comes to connecting the cranium and the sacrum 🤍
One of my favorite techniques is called Rock & Glide—a gentle, hands-on approach that supports the body’s natural craniosacral rhythm.

With one hand cradling the cranium and the other supporting the sacrum, I simply listen, follow, and invite more ease into the nervous system.
Deeply restful. Deeply connecting. ✨

✨The sacrum holds more than structure—it holds tension, history, and story.
In craniosacral therapy, gently freeing the sacrum can create profound relief through the entire pelvis and nervous system. ✨
Let’s explore one of the final extradural techniques and why it matters.

✨Your body is connected in ways you may not even realize.
Diaphragm releases in craniosacral therapy support the fascial system, helping the body soften restrictions, improve flow, and restore balance—physically and emotionally. ✨

✨Your body is always communicating—
the craniosacral rhythm is how we learn to listen.

This gentle, slow rhythm guides evaluation, treatment, and change within the whole system.

✨Cerebrospinal fluid is constantly being produced, circulating, and reabsorbed—supporting protection, nourishment, and regulation of the brain and spinal cord.

Did you know your body has a rhythm beyond your heartbeat and breath?

It’s called the CranioSacral Rhythm (CSR)—a slow, natural rhythm that moves at about 6 cycles per minute.

According to the Pacemaker Theory, this rhythm is generated by specialized nerve cells in the brainstem, similar to the cells that regulate breathing and heart rate. From there, the rhythm travels through the body via the autonomic nervous system and vascular system through a process called vasomotion—the gentle expansion and contraction of blood vessels.

Because blood vessels exist throughout the body, this rhythm can be felt anywhere.

The CSR supports nervous system balance, cerebrospinal fluid movement, and the body’s ability to adapt to stress.

CranioSacral Therapy works by listening to and supporting this natural rhythm, helping the body return to balance and regulation.

Your body already knows the rhythm.
CST helps create the conditions for it to thrive.
