Proud to be a sponsor at tonight’s Su***de Awareness & Prevention Evening at the American Legion Post 2 in Dover.

Along with sharing local services and support, attendees are getting hands-on training to recognize and respond to veterans in crisis. About 17 U.S. veterans die by su***de each day, which is a hard number to read and an even harder reality to ignore.

Showing up, learning the signs, and knowing how to step in can make a real difference for the people who once stepped forward for all of us.

MeadowWood will ALWAYS stay close to the veterans.

On Friday of last week, Julie Saville attended the Melodies & Memories Happy Hour & Open House at The Pointe at South Harmony Lodge. A special guest singer captured everyone’s attention, and it was wonderful to see the residents light up as familiar songs filled the room.

Many sang along, swayed to the music, and clearly enjoyed every moment, showing just how powerful and joyful music can be.

At a recent community provider meeting, our Business Development team made sure our partners left with a clear understanding of how we’re directly supporting our patients and community members.

They also left with a goody bag filled with self-care items, because caring for the community starts with caring for ourselves.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month, a reminder that alcohol use disorder is a medical condition and help is available. Reaching out for support is a brave and crucial step toward recovery. Whether through therapy, treatment programs, or trusted loved ones, you do not have to face this journey alone.

Our Story

MeadowWood Behavioral Health System, located in New Castle, Delaware, is a 120-bed psychiatric and addiction treatment facility located on 11 private acres. We are a top provider for adolescent, adult, and geriatric mental health and substance abuse treatment services in the area. As a psychiatric and addiction detox treatment facility, we offer a safe and comfortable environment where patients can leave the stress of the outside world behind and focus completely on their recovery.

Our entire staff is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to all individuals who come to us looking for a higher quality of life. As trained behavioral health professionals, we coordinate individualized psychiatric treatment plans and safe detox programs with health care providers, family members, and other community supports. Our physician-led team of behavioral health clinical professionals focuses on treating each person individually rather than as a member of a group. We do not simply treat the symptoms afflicting our patients, we treat the entire person as a whole. Additionally, we believe that by keeping open communication between clinical team members, our patients, and the patient’s families, we are able to provide exceptional customer service that ensures the focus is always on our patients in helping them find long-lasting, successful recovery.
