Meadowwood Behavioral Health System offers adolescent, adult and older adult patients a safe and comfortable environment where the stress of everyday life can be left behind and patients can focus on the healing process. Our highly qualified staff has years of experience in providing patients with the skills needed to overcome substance abuse disorders as well as a multitude of mental health problems. At Meadowwood, we believe that each patient is unique. Last week, we had the honor of attending the renaming and dedication of one of Brandon Novak’s sober living homes, part of the “Novak Houses” system. Brandon, who many may remember from MTV, has since dedicated his life to helping others in recovery.

The home was renamed Vincent’s House in honor of the son of PennyAnne Rogers, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Face the Facts Delaware, who tragically lost his life to a he**in overdose at the age of 23.

Vincent’s House now stands as a place of hope and healing, carrying his name and legacy for men rebuilding their lives in recovery.

Community events offer more than connections. They share stories of resilience and recovery. On Sunday, Julie from Business Development attended the Transitions Delaware Open House, where she connected with Karla, Brian, and Mary from Delaware Transitions and met artist Ray Reinsfelder, who painted the mural inside the center. The event highlighted the strength of community partnerships and the importance of spaces that support healing and hope.

Community partnership in action!

Judy, our Business Development Representative, met with Hannah from Project Chesapeake to discuss strategies for continuum of care. Together, they explored how to best support individuals in need of detox, mental health, and SUD treatment across Maryland and Delaware. Collaboration like this strengthens our ability to serve the community and connect people to the care they need.

The National Institute of Mental Health reports that over half of adults living with mental illness received professional treatment in the past year. This highlights how common and effective seeking support truly is. Healing often begins with trusted relationships and compassionate care. No one is expected to navigate mental health alone.

If you or someone you care about is considering professional mental health support, contact us to learn more about available services and how we can help.

Last Friday, our MeadowWood business development team spent the afternoon axe throwing with our regional business development partners from Tower Behavioral Health, Geisinger Behavioral Health Centers, and Belmont Behavioral Health Systems.

While we work closely together across our hospitals in many ways, we don’t always get the chance to step away from our day-to-day work and connect in a more casual setting. It was a great opportunity to build relationships, share some laughs, and strengthen collaboration.

Our Story

MeadowWood Behavioral Health System, located in New Castle, Delaware, is a 120-bed psychiatric and addiction treatment facility located on 11 private acres. We are a top provider for adolescent, adult, and geriatric mental health and substance abuse treatment services in the area. As a psychiatric and addiction detox treatment facility, we offer a safe and comfortable environment where patients can leave the stress of the outside world behind and focus completely on their recovery.

Our entire staff is committed to providing compassionate and comprehensive care to all individuals who come to us looking for a higher quality of life. As trained behavioral health professionals, we coordinate individualized psychiatric treatment plans and safe detox programs with health care providers, family members, and other community supports. Our physician-led team of behavioral health clinical professionals focuses on treating each person individually rather than as a member of a group. We do not simply treat the symptoms afflicting our patients, we treat the entire person as a whole. Additionally, we believe that by keeping open communication between clinical team members, our patients, and the patient’s families, we are able to provide exceptional customer service that ensures the focus is always on our patients in helping them find long-lasting, successful recovery.
