Currently at the IACM's medical ma*****na conference in Basel, Switzerland. No science behind the medical use of cannabis. I have already spent a whole day listening to world experts from Europe, the US, South America, Israel, and Canada present the latest evidence from studies published in the medical literature. Besides all the current evidence there were over 100 studies published in the 1800s and prominent pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly, Squibb, and Park-Davis had cannabis elixirs for the relief of pain, headaches, and menstrual cramps on the market until the plant was maligned in the 1930s. Currently Epidiolex, a CBD product derived from cannabis, is FDA approved in the US for the treatment of severe forms of epilepsy in children and adults and Sativex is pending approval for the treatment of cancer pain in the US and is already used in the UK. It is a 1:1 mixture of cannabis derived CBD and THC. Don't let anyone say there is no evidence base for using cannabis as medicine.

"We are what we eat"--make changes to your diet TODAY! Instead of those chips how about a handful of almonds as a snack (salt and vinegar flavor almonds are one of my favs--check your grocery store shelf almonds come in all different flavorings.

No matter how old you are, or how much junk food you consume, it’s never too late to start undoing the damage caused by a poor diet.

Our PA state government in its infinite wisdom has decided not to distribute SARS-CoV-2 vaccine to family physician offices. I ordered and was to receive over a thousand doses of Pfizer vaccine and 200 doses of Moderna vaccine the week of Feb 22. We don’t have to invent a distribution system for vaccine in this country—it already exists. If I would have had access to vaccine starting in December, I could have had well over a thousand patients fully vaccinated by now which is about a third of my practice and that is a conservative estimate. If all family physicians across the US had access to vaccine starting in December we could have had over 30% of the US population vaccinated but right now no more than 5% of the population is vaccinated. Patients spread the word, repost to your pages and call the Dept of Health.

Dr. Mueller received his second dose of vaccine today and should be 100% protected from severe COVID-19 disease two weeks after the 2nd dose. Dr. Mueller is encouraging everyone to get vaccinated when it is available to you. If you have questions or concerns or hesitancy to vaccinate please raise your concerns or ask your questions of Dr. Mueller.
