Just a reminder, to those of you who haven't met Arlene yet, she is our RCAC Manager and is your main “go-to” person for management of the building, staff and residents. Here is a little about her:

Hello! My name is Arlene Meyer. I am a Registered Nurse with many years of nursing experience, specializing in wound care, Infection Control, hemodialysis, and management. Over the years I tried other areas of nursing, including hospital and clinic nursing, but always returned to long-term care. I love getting to know the residents and their families.

I currently live in Winslow, Illinois, with my husband and our dog Oliver. We have three children who are married and one who is engaged, with plans to get married next year. We have seven wonderful grandchildren, ranging in ages from one to ten years old. Our family is spread out across the country, from Utah to South Carolina, and one son living in Freeport, Illinois, a half hour from us. We cherish our time with our family, especially spoiling our grandchildren.

My hobbies include gardening, cooking, doing crafts, and reading. My new hobby is diamond painting, which I enjoy doing for relaxation. We also have a camper that we enjoy traveling with, and have visited many areas of the country, including many National Parks.

I am very happy to be serving in the Glarner Lodge Manager position and look forward to meeting all the staff, residents, and their families. My door is always open for anyone to stop in and say “hello”.
