"It’s with bittersweet excitement to announce that I will be joining Mark in North Dakota as we begin our new adventure together. There were many factors that impacted this decision. Due to current trends in the funeral profession and with the confidence of unifying our communities' funeral service, Mark, and I, along with our families are entrusting the funeral homes in New Hampton and Elma to the Hugeback and Johnson families. Effective June 30, 2023, Conway-Markham Funeral Home was purchased by Hugeback Johnson Funeral Services. On behalf of our family and staff, we wish to express our gratitude for your trust in us. It has always been our mission to provide thoughtful and caring service. If we've helped to lighten your burden, our mission has been accomplished. Dale Stevenson died on June 24, 2023, at the age of 88. There will be a viewing for Dale at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Rd in Spokane Valley, WA on June 29th from 1 to 3 pm, and a celebration of his life locally on 8/5/2023, location. A second viewing will be held at Conway Markham Funeral Home, 508 Maple Street in Elma, Iowa on July 8th from Noon to 1 pm, with a graveside service following at Howard Cemetery in Elma. Family and Friends are invited to gather at the BlueBird Tavern in Elma after the service. Online condolences may be left at www.conwaymarkham.com.
