Current client's project-
Her great great grandma died on July 19, 1936 in Montana. This month was the start of a record-breaking heat wave, with July 14th being the peak day. This heat wave was part of the infamous Dust Bowl of the Midwest, causing around 2.5 million people to pack up and move west to California and other states. Thankfully her family was north of the most affected area, and they didn't have to move. It is such an amazing experience to be able to correlate someone's family history to such a significant piece of American history. I'm also taking this as a sign to read "The Grapes of Wrath" again. π
