Family…because of the delta variant of the covid 19 virus we are once again forced out of the need to protect staff and the smallest people to close the office to children with fever and illness effective immediately. We will again use electronic methods to communicate and visit this group of children. Please understand that no one is to enter the office at this time without being masked, vaccinated or not. If you are ill please do not come in. There will be no use of the waiting area. We are again forced to limit those that enter as well to one immediate caretaker. Thank you for your understanding and hopefully we can defeat this soon and return to who we are!

We are still weathering the Covid 19 storm and as our community begins to “open up” we will not change our practice of safe visits here at Ellinwood Pediatrics. Everyone is still required to wear a mask on entry to the office. There will still only be one family in the waiting room at a time and everyone else has to stay in rooms with closed doors. You will be asked to remain in car if needed still. We will televisit all patients that need to be seen this way but will continue our regular office visits as we have been. . Office specific changes will continue indefinitely until we are aware that this crisis has passed by. Thank you for continuing to understand the need for this and for your endless support! We can all be safe and continue on only by being sensible.

We are now here in the midst of our COVID19 local, state and national outbreak. This has been life altering for our community and families. We are now forced out of the necessity to protect our children staff and provider to make even more adjustments to our office. Because of the lack of appropriate protective equipment we will immediately cease to see sick patients with fever or flu like symptoms in the office but will instead help those same patients that need attention via skype or the telephone. Also immediately as all the children are now at home we will have am appointments on Monday in addition to Tuesday Wednesday Friday and Saturday as usual. We have also had to restrict the waiting room to one family at a time to create appropriate social distance and to limit any possible exposure. With this comes the possibility that you will be asked to wait in your car until a room is available and the waiting room clears. We ask that you only come to the office if you are WELL and are NOT exhibiting any symptoms of illness. Again these changes are made to protect everyone at this trying time and we would truly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

We are all together in a concerning situation with COVID19 . This reality has now forced us and our community to adjust the way we face our daily charge to provide care to our children . Please help us by understanding our changes and the need to keep this new system in place until it is no longer needed. In the next few hours and days we will ask for your cooperation as we implement changes in sick and well visit scheduling as well as new office specific adjustments that will be clear when you arrive . Be aware and be safe.
