โจ A Blessed Ending to the First Utica Walkathon โจ
Today we completed the very first Utica Walkathon, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude. Along the way I met so many inspiring people whose stories touched me deeply:
๐ฟ An 89-year-old grandfather who walked the circuit, resting at benches along the path, showing us that perseverance knows no age.
๐ฟ A determined mother and her children who came every single day, walking three miles with unwavering commitment.
๐ฟ A joyful group of senior women who loved the walk so much, they already want to volunteer next year.
And the stories go on and on. ๐
I had the privilege of being supported by the best youth team, who stood by me not just for the eight days of the Walkathon but throughout the preparation and planning. Their courage, determination, and leadership inspired me every single day. They remind me why I dreamed of creating this project: to uplift and empower our youth. I truly see a bright future ahead for them.
๐ Thank you to every walkerโyou brought me so much joy.
๐ Thank you to everyone reading this and supporting this cause.
๐ Thank you to my family, Ray Ermacor and my son John Diehl, for always being there for me.
๐ Above all, thank you to the Creator for giving me the vision and strength to bring this project to life.
