This whole Hyrox thing isn’t anything new for us at Prime.
May 16 will actually be our 4th time running the Prime Power Play at our facility and we have always trained in a way that would allow you to be successful at a Hyrox event.
What does that even mean?
Well, first, we get you strong. Can’t do a lot of stuff in CrossFit or Hyrox if you’re not strong. So that’s step one.
Second, we incorporate longer conditioning days. We’ve always done this in what we used to call “Core and Conditioning” on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The only difference is now we have something “specific” to call it. And instead of doing it twice a week, we do it three times.
So again, this is nothing new for us.
P.S. Not that it matters, but we were first Hyrox affiliated gym in the Utica-Rome area 🤷🏽♂️
