Sergeant Joe Cox, Jr. was responding to an accident involving a vehicle and a horse-drawn buggy when one of the buggy's occupants was ejected. After assisting at the scene, Sergeant Cox went above and beyond...driving the buggy's driver home and speaking with the driver's parents to ensure they were okay.
Tragically, after returning to his squad car, he suffered a fatal heart attack.
๐Ÿ’™
Sergeant Cox's final act was one of compassion and service...making sure someone in crisis was safely returned to their family. That was who he was.
๐Ÿ–ค
Today, we remember his dedication, his kindness, and his sacrifice. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, his friends, and all who knew and loved him.
๐Ÿ’™
Gone but never forgotten. Rest easy, Sergeant Cox. We have the watch from here. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ
