Giving Tuesday kicks off a month-long campaign in support of the residents of Mary Wade. Your gift makes all the difference and helps us to close the gap between the actual cost of care and the reimbursement from insurers like Medicare and Medicaid which covers only a portion of the costs for our residents.

Mary Wade is thrilled to welcome Melanie M. McCloskey, DNP, MSN, RN, to our Board of Trustees!

Melanie brings over 40 years of healthcare experience, including 25 years as Assistant Clinical Director of Ambulatory Services and Student Health at Yale University. She is a passionate advocate for the frail elderly, the homeless, and underserved populations, and has founded a community engagement program that reduces social isolation for older adults with limited mobility.

Her credentials are outstanding: Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Nurse Executive Board Certification (NE-BC), and advanced certifications in gerontology and global advocacy. Melanie’s dedication to improving health outcomes and her commitment to community service make her a tremendous addition to our board.
