Breathing Room is a breath of fresh air for all looking to expand their yoga experience. An intimate studio, Breathing Room is a personal and inviting space to practice. With a variety of classes for students of all levels we invite you to come join our community and find your Breathing Room. Our Studio puts emphasis on your practice as an extention of your life, we work to create a space for you to learn and grow with yourself and a community of like minded individuals. Breathing Room is a place not only for you to come and practice yoga with like-minded people, but a place for you to feel you are growing,
learning and contributing to and with a community.

Restorative Yoga is a slow grounded class that focuses on rest and relaxation. 🪷

Students are supported by props so the body can be comfortable, shifting the nervous system into a “rest and digest” state that is deeply rejuvenating. This practice helps to draw your attention inward, creating a sanctuary from the over-stimulation of daily life.

Guided by Marlene, this afternoon workshop will be an introduction to and meditation on the Sri Chakra Yantra, a sacred geometric representation of unity, balance, connection, and creation in the cosmos and expansion of pure consciousness. We’ll explore the ancient science of patterns, shapes and proportions that hold spiritual significance, and reflect the universe’s underlying order and harmony. Together, we’ll conclude by creating a mandala for the Hearth using flower petals, sticks, herbs, stones & crystals. 🌸🌱

Folks are encouraged & welcome to bring any materials they’d like to contribute to the mandala as we celebrate the weekend of the Spring Equinox!

BR (Breathing Room) Signature Flow is a creative vinyasa practice that begins with a grounding warm-up and energizing sun salutations, gradually building into a fun, fluid, and imaginative sequence. 💚

Students are guided through purposeful alignment and anatomy cues, with space to connect breath, movement, and personal expression in the flow. Each class includes an intentional offering for contemplation—whether it be a yogic concept, poem, or reflection—so the practice is not only about movement, but also about deepening your relationship to self. The flow is designed to challenge and support you in equal measure, cultivating strength, balance, and fluidity while leaving space for play and creativity. All levels are welcome, with thoughtful modifications offered to ensure everyone feels empowered and included in the practice. 🔆

Come join this class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Founded in 2009, Breathing Room is located in downtown New Haven, Ct within a newly renovated 12,000 sq. ft. wellness & community space at 216 Crown St. Welcome!
