Residents at WMH enjoyed Fall Fest today! There was food and fun for everyone! Some of the activities that were available were: fishing for apples, pumpkin painting, scarecrow building, Fall crafts, beanbag toss, candy corn bowling, games of chance and guess how many. We made S'mores and enjoyed mini carmel apples and cider. It was a beautiful day and we thank our Lord and Savior for the opportunity to serve our residents well!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY #2 to our resident cat, Snowball. To celebrate, residents had snow cones with Snowball. Snowball was a little overwhelmed by all of the attention and hid in the office during the celebration.

It's too hot to be outside, so our residents are doing chair exercises indoors, with the help of a video instructor!

WMH celebrated our Independence with a chicken BBQ! Grill master Jeff, used a dry rub on the chicken before charring it over a charcoal grill and then finished it on the gas grill. Many of the residents chose to add BBQ sauce on top. Corn on the cob, baked beans, and cole slaw, completed our Holiday meal.

“I was home alone often and my sons were concerned, so they helped me find Welsh Mountain Home. I’m glad I’m here now. I’m not alone. If I have a problem, someone is always here. Everyone is so nice and I can continue going to church,” Billie shared.

Executive Director Mona Frey thoroughly enjoyed the banquet last evening. She says, “I'd like to thank everyone who came out to attend the WMH Annual Spring Fundraiser Banquet last night at Yoder's. This year's banquet was one of our highest-yielding events of my time serving as Executive Director. I'd also like to say a special thanks to the J-Tyme bluegrass band for providing some toe-tapping entertainment. My heart is filled with gratitude!”

Munching with Melody drew another crowd, this time to make cinnamon rolls. Residents roll their own dough, spread it with butter, then sprinkled cinnamon and brown sugar on the dough, before rolling and cutting it into sections. After baking, residents topped the rolls with a cream cheese icing and enjoyed!
