Unlike our more advanced airway models, which can pose challenges for new learners and sometimes lead to excessive force that risks damaging the airway, the Novice Airway provides a more intuitive and forgiving experience. Happy Thursday Simulation Superstar,

I hope and pray you and your family are doing well during these uncertain times. Can you believe that we have almost made it to the FINISH LINE? I recently received my first shot of the vaccine- and as an immunocompromised person, I literally felt like HOPE was injected into my arms.

As a marathoner, we always look out for Mile 20. Experts and novices alike are aware that Mile 20 is a tricky place to be. You can “hit the wall,” and not finish the race OR you can be aware that the wall is quite possible and mentally prepare and push yourself through the checkered flags. We, in healthcare, are at Mile 20 for this pandemic-let us finish the race together so we can celebrate and honor all we have been through. I know that I couldn’t trust just any training partner… and I am so thrilled to have you as mine. 😊

So, here we are, Mid-March already- so it is almost time for you to go shopping. I have spoken with a lot of my customers who are building their wish list for Simulation Training and for department approvals. So, I wanted to reach out to you and remind you what I carry on ECAT and GSA as well as see if there is anything YOU NEED but CANNOT find. Please know that I can help you find those things so that you can focus on phase back, training curriculum, and most importantly; your students and patients.

In terms of ECAT or GSA, 2020 it took a LONG TIME for us to get all of our vendors on contract because of a combination of remote workers, Covid-19 restrictions, protests, etc. I don’t anticipate that to be the case this year at all. My right hand woman, Lynn McCarty, is diligently working with DLA- but we have a ton of products that were added last season that you may not know about.

I would love to set up a time to DEMO any of the below with a manufacturer’s representative as well. Please take a look at the below and book a time for us to get together virtually so that we are ready to procure when our monies are dropped.
