Diabetes can cause uncomfortable, potentially dangerous changes in your feet. Look out for some of these signs so you know when to see a professional:

tingling or burning sensations
reduced sensation to heat and cold
changing shapes of the foot over time with more calluses, corns, nails thickening and discoloration, plus decreased hair growth on lower legs & feet.

Dryness could create cracks in skin along with open sores that heal slowly which may lead to infections - all these often accompanied by swelling due to a high arch when standing/walking – an indication you need special attention from healthcare professionals as soon as possible!

Ankle Sprains are one of the most common injuries that take place due to a twist of the ankle. Pain and swelling occur after the ankle twist and this is a sign of ankle sprain. These ankle sprains are more common among sportspersons, especially basketball players and footballers. Injuries to this part are also very common during night time falls.

Ankle sprains are common among individuals of all ages. Any sports activity that involves sudden stops, starts and pivots, such as basketball or soccer, can cause an ankle sprain. In addition, accidents such as a slip on an icy surface, a fall down the stairs or a slip and fall in a grocery store can be responsible for an ankle sprain. These types of injuries are common among older individuals, as the risk of falling increases with a decrease in balance and strength.

Ankle sprains can be easily treated by most podiatrists. Treatment for ankle sprain can be done by decreasing swelling, controlling pain and restoring range of motion by tightening the joint. After this treatment your podiatrist may recommend exercises to control the pain.

If you have cracked heels, it's important to take care of them. Cracked heels can be painful and can sometimes lead to more serious problems if they're not treated.

To treat cracked heels, start by moisturizing your feet at least twice a day. Look for thick moisturizers that will help soften the dead skin. You can also find moisturizers that contain skin-softening agents, like urea, salicylic acid, or alpha hydroxy acid. These may help remove dead skin and help with the healing process.

If your cracked heels are painful, you can also try using a heel balm or cream that contains petroleum jelly or glycerin.

The foot has a number of nerve endings to help with sensation and maintaining balance. Neuromas are benign nerve tumors which can develop in the nerves of the foot. A podiatrist is a doctor that specializes in the treatment of disorders and diseases of the foot. Conditions like foot pain, pain in the heel, ingrown toenails, heel soreness or heel spurs are treated by a podiatrist. They can also detect neuromas by looking at the foot and providing a patient with advice on how to treat it.

A neuroma is a medical condition that develops when there is a swelling of the nerve. It is a common problem that orthopedic surgeons and other podiatrists treat. A neuroma can develop as a result of nerve injury as a result of improper walking shoes, or as a result of repeated stress to the feet.
