✨ Spotlight Moment ✨

While yesterday was a great day overall, we had to pause and share this incredibly sweet moment. One of our caregivers got to see, firsthand, the impact of the work we do here at OTABA.

Our friend’s hair had grown quite long, and mom wanted it much shorter. With patience, care, and a whole lot of love, our hairdresser made it happen and this reaction says it all.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. The confidence, the trust, the joy… this is the magic. 💛✂️

We are so proud of our team and so grateful to witness these wins, big and small.

Please join us in welcoming Allie Venable, our new Operations Manager, to the OTABA family!

Allie brings over a decade of experience in operations and organization, with a talent for keeping all the moving pieces flowing smoothly behind the scenes. We’re so excited to have her on board and can’t wait for our families to get to know her.

When she’s not helping keep OTABA running like a well-oiled machine, Allie is fully immersed in mom life, coaching cheer, and spending as much time as possible with her little girl 💕

✨ Help us give a big OTABA welcome to Rebecca! ✨

Born and raised right here in Lafayette, Rebecca began her journey in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2020, after spending much of her life volunteering within the special needs community. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice, followed by a master’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2022.

Rebecca has experience supporting individuals ranging from 18 months to 21 years old across community, home, and clinical settings. She is deeply passionate about empowering clients through meaningful, functional skill development. Her favorite part of being a BCBA is witnessing that magical moment when a child masters a new skill and realizes it helps them access something they’ve been working so hard for, often followed by spontaneous celebrations, happy tears, and a little music 🎶💙

When she’s not at the clinic, Rebecca loves traveling the world, pushing herself at the gym, and discovering new places to eat around town.

We are so excited to have Rebecca as part of the OTABA family. Welcome aboard! 💫

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday, Lawrence! 🎂🎉

We are so excited to share that we got to celebrate a birthday party with our sweet friend, Lawrence! Coming right off the thrill of morning recess, the kids gathered around to sing “Happy Birthday” to their friend, Law 🎶💙

We opened presents, shared lots of smiles, and then everyone enjoyed a fun pizza lunch birthday celebration 🍕🎁

A huge thank you to Lawrence’s mom, Calyn Swords Welch, for providing pizza for the clinic and helping make the day extra special. We loved celebrating our friend! 🥳💙

✨ Today was a BIG day at OTABA! ✨
For the very first time since opening our new clinic, our kiddos finally got to enjoy RECESS and the excitement was absolutely contagious! So many smiles, laughter, and happy feet running outside. The kids have been eagerly waiting for this moment, and we could not have been more excited to see it finally happen.

This special day wouldn’t have been nearly as amazing without one of our incredible OTABA dads, Mr. Craig Perez. Mr. Craig went above and beyond by building a beautiful swing set for our kids, installing the swings, and even taking the time to carefully inspect the area around the new fence to make sure everything was safe and debris-free for our little ones.

To our two powerhouse boss ladies, Karla RogersAprill Curry Payton… what started as a dream became something incredibly special. You built a clinic that is truly one of a kind, pouring your hearts into every detail. The love and respect you show your staff and clients is returned tenfold, and it shows every single day.

Your expectations are simple but powerful: love the children, be kind to one another, and treat everyone with respect. You lead with authenticity, compassion, and heart, creating a workplace that feels more like a family than a job.

🌟 Employee of the Month – Ocean 🌟
In just 6 months with OTABA, Ocean has shown outstanding compassion for our clients and brings a positive, can-do attitude to every session. She has been such a wonderful addition to the OTABA family.
