Sometimes speech sounds need a little extra help sticking the landing! 🦆✨

Ms. Maria and her client practiced final /k/ by giving our duck a special tail! When the “k” goes on the end, we hear that strong “quack” sound at the back of the mouth. Adding visuals like this helps our kiddos see and feel where the sound belongs.

Learning through play makes practicing sounds way more fun! 🗣️💛

Rainy days = the perfect time for a little speech + sunshine ☀️🌧️

Today we read “Pete the Cat and His Magic Sunglasses” and made a bright, colorful craft to match! While creating our shades, we worked on following directions, answering WH questions, expanding vocabulary, and sequencing the story.

Even on a rainy day, we can still find ways to brighten things up in speech therapy 😎✨

Dream big, little learners! 🌟

We read “Oh, the Places You Will Go!”and celebrated Career Day by dressing up as who we want to be when we grow up! 👩‍⚕️👨‍🚒👩‍🏫

Through story time and pretend play, we worked on sequencing, describing, answering WH-questions, and expanding expressive language — all while imagining the amazing places our futures can take us. 💭✨

The sky isn’t the limit… it’s just the beginning!

Celebrating Read Across America week with The Cat in the Hat 🎩 📕

We read the story, wore our hats, and used visuals to help sequence the events from beginning to end! Visual supports help our students organize their thoughts, improve story retell skills, answer WH-questions, and build comprehension in a hands-on, engaging way.

Learning + literacy + a little silliness = the perfect speech session! ❤️✨

One of the most common questions parents ask is:
“Is this normal?”

Child development isn’t one-size-fits-all — but there are general milestones that help us know when extra support may be helpful.

The good news?
Early therapy doesn’t mean something is wrong.
It means you’re giving your child tools to succeed.

If you’ve had a gut feeling about your child’s speech, motor skills, or development… trust it. Parents are usually the first to notice.

✨ When in doubt, check it out.

Play is the best therapy 💛

During this session, Mrs. Angie paired a challenging problem-solving game with intentional positioning to support more functional sitting (and reduce W-sitting). When children sit with better hip alignment and core activation, it creates a stronger foundation for coordination, attention, and fine motor skills.

By combining movement, posture, and cognitive challenges, we’re helping build the body awareness and stability kids need to participate more successfully in everyday activities! Strong bodies make strong minds 💪🧠🗣️

🌟One Toy 3 Ways🌟

Language can be targeted anywhere with your kids toys! Begin by asking our child to label or identify animals “should we do a giraffe or dog first” to build identifying and labeling skills while building confidence in playing! Continue the process to focus on categorizing items and answering questions as you play! 🗣️🌟🧩

🌟Small Words. BIG meaning! 🌟

Possessive pronouns (like his, hers, theirs) can be surprisingly tricky for kids because they’re small words carrying big grammar rules. Unlike nouns, they change depending on who owns something and how the sentence is structured. A child has to understand perspective (Who does it belong to?), remember the correct pronoun form, and use it in the right spot in the sentence — all while still learning basic vocabulary and sentence building.
