Today we honor all the Veterans who have served our country past, present, and future. This day is extra special to Jointpro because our very own clinic manager and PT Keegan served in the USMC. He has continued to find ways to stay active and serve other veterans in the Lincoln-Way community. Most recently with his participation in the Warrior Walk. We are so proud of him and honored to know him both personally and professionally.

Have you recently had a surgery or injury? Are you limited in your weight bearing status? Weight-bearing but painful? Limited use of your arm? Blood Flow Restriction Therapy has been in use by the NFL since the 2000s and the Japanese since the 1960s as a way of improving strength, muscle size, and preventing atrophy while recovering from various injuries and surgeries. This patient has been non-weight bearing on both legs for the last couple of months due to injuries/surgeries and is reaping the muscle-building benefits of Blood Flow Restriction Therapy - even with simple exercises!

After 7 years of practicing physical therapy, she now has a new and highly effective tool, allowing her to continue providing her patients with the highest level of care and pain relief.
