First Response Therapy PLLC is expanding and looking to add licensed or provisionally licensed therapists to our team as W-2 employees.

We’re a supportive, clinician-centered group practice that values work–life balance, sustainable caseloads, and therapist well-being—so you can focus on providing quality care without burnout.

Position Highlights:
• W-2 employment
• Manageable caseload of 15–20 clients/week
• Competitive pay per clinical hour (based on experience)
• Productivity bonuses for caseloads 22+
• Paid Time Off (PTO)
• Annual CEU stipend
• Supervision provided for LPCs
• Hybrid role (telehealth + in-person 2–3 days/week)
• Full admin, billing, and referral support
• Flexible scheduling (some evenings and/or weekend required)

Who We’re Looking For:
• Illinois-licensed or provisionally licensed clinicians (LPC, LCPC, LCSW, LMFT)
• Comfortable working with adults and couples
• Trauma-informed approach (EMDR a plus, not required)
• Comfortable and knowledgeable working with first responders
• Availability for in-person sessions on Sunday, Monday, and/or Thursday

🕯️ September 11, 2001 – We Remember 🕯️

Today, the Chicago Fire Department honors the memory of the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11. 🙏🏽 We especially pay tribute to the 343 FDNY firefighters 🚒👩🏽‍🚒🧑🏼‍🚒, paramedics 🚑, and first responders 🚓 who made the ultimate sacrifice while rushing toward danger to save others. 💔

We will never forget their bravery, their service, and their legacy. 💙❤️🤍

For first responders, the job doesn’t always end when the shift does. 🚒🚓🚑
Even when you’re home, your mind can stay on high alert—scanning for danger, replaying calls, or bracing for the next emergency.

That constant state of readiness takes a toll. Over time, it can look like:
⚡ Trouble relaxing or sleeping
⚡ Feeling tense or on edge
⚡ Difficulty being fully present with family
⚡ Burnout or emotional numbness

This isn’t about being “tough enough.” It’s about your nervous system doing its best to protect you. Therapy can help you reset, lower that constant “on” switch, and reclaim moments of peace.

Hi! I’m Jessica, LCPC and Certified First Responder Counselor. I’m the owner of First Response Therapy PLLC, based in New Lenox, IL, and I currently have some openings for both in-person and virtual clients in Illinois.

I see adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship challenges, and identity shifts—especially those who are always supporting others and rarely take time for themselves. I enjoy working with those who are hesitant to start therapy and want to “tough it out”. I’m also a trauma informed therapist and trained in EMDR.

While I do specialize in working with first responders and their partners, my practice is open to anyone looking for meaningful, supportive therapy.

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic loss of two Idaho firefighters who were ambushed and killed while responding to a brush fire yesterday.

We stand with their families, their department, and their community during this time of unimaginable grief. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Rest easy, brothers. We’ll take it from here.
