⭐DD Awareness/Employment Spotlight!

Today we’re celebrating an incredible milestone - over 20 years of dedication, hard work, and community connection!

Join us in recognizing Mark, who has proudly served at Subway in New Lexington for TWO decades. In his role, Mark helps keep things running smoothly by washing dishes, stocking shelves, and maintaining the lobby.

His advice for anyone nervous about starting a job?
💬 “Always work hard, pay attention to what you are doing, be happy, and always be friendly to others.” These words perfectly capture why inclusive employment matters - everyone brings something valuable to the team.

🎉 Here’s to Mark’s amazing commitment, and to the many individuals whose talents strengthen our workplaces and communities every day.

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month!

Yesterday, members of our Pioneering Possibilities® Executive Committee (PPEC), Superintendent Caley Boyden, and staff joined the Perry County Commissioners for the DD Awareness Month Proclamation signing.

Pioneering Possibilities® is a community leadership and advocacy group established by PCBDD. The PPEC is made up of elected leaders who guide service projects, team building events, and community involvement and help ensure PP continues to grow in alignment with its Mission, Vision, and Values.

2026 PPEC Members:
• Bryan Meyer, Chairperson
• Rose Fortner, Vice Chairperson
• Madison Chennells, Treasurer
• Lacie Campbell, Secretary
• Members: Steven Reeves & Charles Tolliver

The PPEC models our R.A.I.L.S. philosophy, Responsibility, Accountability, Independence, Leadership, and Self Sufficiency, through projects like book drives, volunteer events, and community service.

We’re grateful to the Commissioners for welcoming this group of emerging leaders and engaging with them during today’s signing.
