πŸ“£Property taxes fund the services Perry Countians with developmental disabilities depend on every day.

Without them, support for Perry Countians with developmental disabilities is at risk.

Property tax dollars make sure needs are met, families are supported, and people can live safe, meaningful lives in our community.

Watch this short video to understand why this funding matters. πŸ‘‡

πŸ’™ National Home Visiting Appreciation Week πŸ’™

As we wrap up the week, we want to take a moment to celebrate and thank our incredible Home Visiting team for the meaningful impact they make every day for children and families in our community.

Helen, Reva, and Samantha, your dedication, compassion, and professionalism do not go unnoticed. Your work creates real change, both in big moments and in the quiet, powerful ways that matter most.

Thank you for the heart you bring to this work and for the difference you make, today and every day!

Property taxes are a real concern for Ohio familiesβ€”but eliminating them without a clear replacement puts critical local services at risk. For people with developmental disabilities, property taxes fund the majority of services provided by county boardsβ€”often 75% to 85% of local budgets. These supports help nearly 117,000 Ohioans live and thrive in their communities.

OACB is proud to have co-founded a statewide coalition that is raising awareness and educating voters about the danger of eliminating property taxes in Ohio. Watch the video below to learn what could be impactedβ€”from disability services to schools, first responders, and senior care.
