My life started to take a turn when my sister Joy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005.

I started researching and from that day forward my life changed. I was like a sponge that couldn't absorb enough information. In fact, my sister's last words to me were, "Call me when you learn something NEW!" She knew I was determined to help people and I knew then there was some other purpose for my life! I spent years just doing research and then decided to go on and further my education and I got my CNHP degree. That wasn't enough for me so I went on to learn Reconnective Healing and Reflexology. I can't even explain the pull of how I got into Reconnective Healing ( but if you ask I willingly will share) but it was magical and after my Personal Reconnection I saw my future in a whole new light. I want nothing more out of life than to help people heal their mind, body, and spirit! I will never stop learning. California grows 90% of American strawberries.

To do it, they fumigate the soil with chloropicrin before every single planting. Not occasionally. Every planting cycle, every year, in 99% of California strawberry fields.

Chloropicrin is a soil sterilant. You inject it into the ground to kill everything: fungi, bacteria, nematodes, insects, so the soil is chemically dead before you plant into it. You then grow strawberries in a sterile medium using synthetic inputs, because the natural soil ecosystem that would otherwise support the plant has been eliminated.

It was also first used as a chemical weapon in World War One.

The fumigation applicators are farmworkers, predominantly undocumented migrants. Exposure causes eye damage, respiratory damage, and neurological symptoms.

California's Department of Pesticide Regulation lists it as one of the most common causes of agricultural pesticide illness. Residential areas near strawberry fields in Monterey County have recorded fumigation drift events serious enough to send children home from school.

The strawberry is marketed as a heart-healthy, antioxidant-rich, plant-based superfood.

The soil it grew in was chemically sterilised with a WWI weapon. The person who planted it probably doesn't have health insurance.

The middle part of growth and transformation is rarely talked about. The space between who you were and who you’re becoming. There are breakthroughs and reveals, but in this middle stretch, things can feel unclear and unsettled.

Butterflies grow wings after an internal breakdown first. Their structure reorganizes before anything external becomes beautiful.l. 🦋

Our growth may look similar - more rest, pulling back, releasing roles that once fit, and sitting with uncertainty. It may feel ungrounded and unfamiliar, but there is progress and integration. Quiet identity shifts, beliefs rearranging, and energy is being redirected.

I recognize myself in this season now.

I AM releasing attachment to old versions of self and the stories I once clung to feel safe. I AM holding my inner child with love and compassion as she BEcomes more aware, embodied, and forgives herself and others. I AM stepping into the light by choice and leading by example to show others that healing is possible.
