As we wrap up National Social Work Month, we want to take one more moment to say thank you. 💙

To our Social Services team members: thank you for the comfort you provide, the questions you answer, the guidance you offer, and the advocacy you show every single day.

You help families navigate complex decisions. You support residents during important life transitions. You connect people to the resources they need. And you do it all with compassion and heart.

While March may be coming to an end, the impact of our Social Services team continues all year long.

We are so grateful for everything you do for the residents and families we serve.

Welcome to New London Specialty Care

Small, hometown, personal care is what you can expect from the caring, dedicated professionals at New London Specialty Care. Located in southeastern Iowa, between Mt. Pleasant and Burlington, we off private and semi-private rooms and professional staff delivering the highest quality of care for seniors in our community.

With daily visits from physical, occupational and speech therapists, each of our residents has their own customized care plan to help them regain and maintain strength, flexibility and mobility. Our nursing professionals and staff join the team to help improve outcomes and set additional goals to either return home following hospitalization and recovery, or stay with us as independently as possible. We also offer therapy services on an outpatient basis.

While our residents have plenty of personal private space, they have plenty of options for socializing. Weekly Bingo games, bowling matches and devotions are always on the agenda. Frequently volunteers from the community join the residents for a discussion on current events or organizing one of our seasonal events. Family nights for a soup supper are a fun way for residents to feel more at home.

New London Specialty Care is a 49-bed skilled nursing facility offering rehabilitation services, skilled nursing care, long term care and hospice care. We are a part of Care Initiatives, Iowa’s largest not-for-profit skilled nursing and long term care provider. New London Specialty Care accepts Medicare and Medicaid.
