Moving Your Lymphatic System

Wonder why your so puffy and swollen ?

Your lymphatic system is part of your immune system. It moves lymph fluid through vessels and lymph nodes to remove waste, toxins, and excess fluid from tissues.

Key parts include

✅Lymph vessels
✅Lymph nodes
✅Organs like the spleen and thymus

Unlike blood, lymph doesn’t have a pump
like the heart. It moves mainly through:

✅Muscle movement
✅Body motion
✅Breathing
✅External stimulation (like massage)

Dry Brushing may be one way to release stagnation—

How to dry brush correctly 🪥

Start with dry skin before showering.
Use a natural bristle body brush.
Begin at your feet and brush upward toward the heart.

Use long strokes on limbs and circular motions on joints and abdomen.
Brush gently for 3–10 minutes.
Shower afterward and apply moisturizer or body oil.

How often

2–4 times per week is typical.
If your skin tolerates it well, some people do it daily.

Areas to avoid ⚠️

Broken or irritated skin
Sunburn
Varicose veins
Active skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis

Important technique tips
✔ Use light pressure (lymph vessels sit just under the skin).

GERMINATING SEEDS

GERMINATION

That is a classic, tried-and-true method! The "paper towel trick" is great because it lets you see exactly when those little roots (radicles) emerge without having to dig through soil.

To give your seeds the best shot at waking up, here are a few quick tips to keep in mind:

1. The "Damp, Not Drenched" Rule

The paper towel should feel like a wrung-out sponge. If it’s dripping wet, the seeds might suffocate or rot. If you see a puddle in the container, it’s a bit too much water.

2. Warmth is Key

Most seeds (especially peppers and tomatoes) love a consistent temperature between 21°C and 27°C.

Pro Tip: Placing them on top of a refrigerator or near a warm (but not hot) electronic device can provide that gentle bottom heat they crave.

3. Let Them Breathe

If you are putting the paper towel in a plastic bag or container to hold in moisture, leave a small corner open. A little oxygen exchange helps prevent mold from moving in.

4. The "Check-In"

Check them every 24 hours. As soon as you see a tiny white tail emerging, they are ready to be moved into some potting mix. Don't let the roots grow too long, or they’ll get tangled in the paper fibers and might break when you try to move them.

Restocking Our Herbs 🌿

The Green Ritual: A Day of Restocking

For a herbalist as a business owner, restocking is not a chore—it is a sensory rebirth of the space. It is the moment the "empty" air of an environment , which has begun to smell faintly of dust and dry wood, is suddenly replaced by the sharp, living pulse of the earth.

Herbalist Tip — Our medicine is our environment take care of it 🌎

Wet Soap Day 🫧

Chamomile and lavender soap offers a calming, aromatic experience that soothes sensitive, irritated, or inflamed skin while providing deep hydration

Chamomile primarily affects the brain by promoting relaxation and sleep through its antioxidant apigenin, which binds to brain receptors, mimicking GABA to calm neural activity, reducing anxiety, improving mood, and potentially aiding deeper sleep.

Benefits

• Soothes Sensitive & Irritated Skin:
Both ingredients are known to calm skin issues such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, rashes, and insect bites.

• Relaxation and Aromatherapy: The natural scent of lavender reduces stress and promotes relaxation, making it ideal for a nighttime bath routine.

• Anti-Inflammatory & Healing:
Chamomile is a powerful, soothing, and anti-inflammatory ingredient that aids in repairing damaged skin.

• Moisturizing & Nourishing: Often formulated with shea butter, olive oil, and coconut oil, these soaps provide deep hydration, leaving skin soft, smooth, and supple.

Herbalist Tip : Using these herbs as a toner is another way to benefit 🍃
