Nine years ago, I was in Southern California at the very beginning of my health coaching journey.
I had just joined a wellness clinic as an intern — learning, listening, and growing into my role as a health coach.

The path ahead held a lot of unknowns.
But I was ready for a change — I just didn’t know where it would take me.

I was standing there, enjoying the sunset, when someone asked if they could take a photo — and they happened to capture a really beautiful, relaxed moment in time.

This photo reminds me that meaningful paths often begin when you’re ready to move forward, even before everything is clear.

What I’ve learned since then is that health coaching is more than just a profession.
It’s a calling — a commitment to understanding, compassion, and real human connection.

Grateful for the journey, the lessons, and the people and experiences along the way. 💚

A fresh start in the New Year often means change —
a shift in mindset, a reset in routine, or a new direction.

Letting go of habits that no longer serve us can feel hard, especially when “getting healthy” starts to feel overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

That’s why so many people look for a “wellness reset” this time of year — not to change everything at once, but to get clear on what matters most and take a few small, realistic steps that actually fit real life.

More often than not, meaningful change starts small, like:

🌙 going to bed a little earlier
💧 drinking more water throughout the day
🥗 choosing more nourishing foods — adding more fruits and vegetables
🚶‍♀️ getting in 10–15 minutes of movement a day

It’s not about doing everything at once.
It’s about choosing a few supportive habits and practicing them consistently.

Here’s to a healthy, grounded start to 2026. 🌿

Struggling to balance everything in your day?

Here’s a simple, grounding structure that helps you feel more centered and less overwhelmed:

Every day, aim to focus on your 4 core wellness habits:
✔️ Physical movement — exercise in any amount that fits your day
✔️ Nourishing nutrition — foods that fuel and support your energy and mood
✔️ Rest + recovery — quality sleep and small breaks throughout the day
✔️ Mind-body or emotional health — meditation, quiet reflection, or journaling

Then add two more pieces to keep your day focused and manageable:
✔️ One work-related priority — anything that moves your day forward (career tasks, home projects, caregiving, volunteering, household responsibilities)
✔️ One personal/life priority

Making these daily priorities a habit truly makes a difference. 🌿

This photo was taken over Thanksgiving weekend — standing there with the sunset reflecting across the water, it was such a grounding moment.

The holiday season can throw our routines off — sleep gets disrupted, stress levels rise, and physical activity often falls to the wayside.

I came across a quote this week that really stayed with me:

“If your habits don’t line up with your dream, you need to either change your habits or change your dream.” — John C. Maxwell

We often think happiness depends on our circumstances…
but research shows it’s shaped much more by our behaviors.

• Move your body regularly — even a 10–20 minute walk counts.
• Get a good night’s sleep — aim for a consistent bedtime.
• Eat balanced, nourishing meals — especially earlier in the day.
• Create easy family dinners — simple meals shared with people you love.
• Build small moments of calm — two minutes of deep breathing is enough.

These small habits don’t just support physical health —
they boost your mood, creativity, and overall well-being.

One consistent, aligned habit can shift how you feel in a meaningful way. 🌿
