Start small….. because small habits and choices made consistently overtime lead to big results. MMG isn’t about 5am marathon mornings, and maybe that IS your jam. No shade, no tea if it is. But, in the garden, slow mornings reign. And regulating the nervous system with small rituals is how we are bringing in 26. Here’s a few micro wellness ideas for you to kickstart your mornings.

Much love ❤️

2025 has been HARD…. And intense and unpredictable, and also awful for small business sales. But, for it’s been a year of connection and community. MMG pulled up and vended at festivals, hopped on Substack, and hosted its first in-person workshop. In that way ‘25 has been beautiful and delicious. There were so many new faces, new places, new spaces, and new experiences that stretched lil ‘ol me, the founder. It’s been challenging and exhausting and most importantly, fun. The virtual Sunday Softening Sessions also rolled out this year and will continue every other month in the new year. I also can’t wait to share more about regulating your nervous system, because for the last quarter of the year that was a huge focus for me. So here’s to 2025, for taking me thru there. MMG is still standing with more to offer than ever!

Tomorrow is a very special edition of Sunday Softening Sessions because it is the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere. Across many traditions, this is considered to be one of the most powerful times of the year for rebirth and renewal. It’s a time to plant seeds, and to release what doesn’t serve you moving forward.

Tomorrow we are co-creating rituals to use over the next 4 days so we can get what we need and dream and desire into our minds and spirits. I hope to see you there. 11am CST on Zoom. Link in bio to register.

Good morning.

I hope you start your day with ease. I hope your morning begins at the pace your nervous system needs. I hope you move through a routine that nourishes the beginning of today.

Alignment doesn't require a constant, unsustainable hustle that leads to burnout. That's just the lie capitalism sells us.

I hope you take some time to mind your garden today.

Tick tock…….time is moving. It’s MMG’s LAST holiday sale of the year! Can you believe it? 2025 had somewhere to be, sheesh. All that rushing and stress and them bills plus inflation added to all the other craziness makes this the perfect year for a wellness focused gift. And did we mention, all the goodies in the shop come from BIPOC woman owned brands? Clock it.

All orders placed in the next few hours will go in the mail tomorrow, 12.17. Check our stories tonight for gift ideas. But don’t wait too long. Time is ticking, and you don’t want to miss these savings.

In early December, a group of Lover Girls came together for some collective care and co-creation around loving others in a healthy way, loving ourselves, and what pleasure looks like for us.

Word to the good sis .momologist for opening the doors of Sister Song. As Kentucky state coordinator, she shared about the expansive definition of reproductive justice, the founding of the organization, and their upcoming events. Make sure to follow

brought good vibes to the space with journaling prompts and cute ideas for creating your own Lover Girl playlist. The conversation around self-love and self-care was deep, and we were thankful for the vulnerability of women in the space who shared about their own experiences. There really is something to healing in community with others, and Mahogany does such an incredible job of curating spaces that match an energy and feeling of openness, safety, and sisterhood.

For my part, used the works of adrienne maree brown and Laura Delarato to present ideas about pleasure and what it means for us. In the legacy of everyday Black women that have pieced together what they had available to create beautiful works of art, we created collages.

Last but, not least came through with the sweet treats…. The mini pound cake was that girl!!

The Lover Girl Prototype event was made possible by all the amazing Lover Girl attendees. + thanks all of you beautiful women for showing up and showing out. Until next time, 💋
