Today, we join communities across the country in recognizing National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day, a day dedicated to empowering Latino communities with HIV knowledge, testing, and access to care. ❤️

This year’s theme reminds us that testing is self-care. With more than 170,000 people in the U.S. living with HIV and unaware of their status, getting tested is one of the most important steps you can take for your health and your community.

Testing is quick, free, and confidential. Visit bouncetozero.com to order a free at-home HIV test or find a local testing site.

Let’s work together to build stronger, healthier communities—free from stigma and full of knowledge, care, and support.

This year’s theme, “Through the Ages,” explored HIV across the lifespan—from youth and prevention to aging, long-term survivors, and everything in between. It was an inspiring day of learning, connection, and community.

Huge thanks to CrescentCare and everyone who continues to lead, educate, and empower in the fight to end HIV stigma. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier future. ❤️

What an incredible experience at the Fast-Track Cities 2025 Summit here in New Orleans! 🌍✨

Hosted by the International Association of Providers of AIDS Care, the Summit brought together public health officials, policymakers, healthcare providers, community leaders, and advocates from more than 50 cities and counties to share strategies, lessons learned, and data-driven innovations to end the HIV epidemic.

Convening at the midpoint to the 2030 goal of reducing new HIV infections by 90% nationwide, the Summit highlighted evidence-based approaches to prevention, treatment, and care, along with the importance of collaboration, integration of services, and planning for continuity in changing times.

The Bounce to Zero team, alongside other New Orleans Health Department leaders, was proud to take part in these important conversations. Our campaign reflects these same goals—working toward zero new HIV infections and zero people out of care by 2030. Let’s keep moving forward, together.

Did you know? More than half of the people with HIV in the U.S. are over 50 years old. Thanks to treatment, people are living longer, healthier lives—but older adults with HIV also face unique challenges like managing multiple chronic conditions, mental health needs, and stigma.

Let’s continue to raise awareness, encourage testing, and advocate for care that supports health at all stages of life.

Today is —a day to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and shine a light on the disproportionate impact of HIV and hepatitis B on African immigrant and refugee communities in the U.S.
Did you know? HIV diagnosis rates among African-born individuals are six times higher than the general U.S. population.
Barriers like stigma, language, and limited access to care make it harder for too many people to get tested, treated, and supported. Together, we can change that.

Today is Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Day ( )—and the numbers tell the story. The South is home to 38% of the U.S. population but accounts for 52% of new HIV diagnoses. And while prevention is key, the region has just 12 PrEP users for every new diagnosis—one of the lowest ratios in the country.

Stigma and barriers to care fuel these gaps—but together, we can change them. Learn more and take action at bouncetozero.com.
