Another Pelvic Rehab Provider Journal Club sets the bar for how exciting and connecting a scientific journal club can be!

The topic was the Anatomy of Pleasure with discussion of healthy s*xual function and s*xual dysfunction. hosted our journal club meeting and the owner Hope educated us on the anatomy of s*xual pleasure and shared many products that help folk navigate s*xual pleasure with pain or dysfunction with s*xual activity. We passed around lubricants, vi*****rs, cl****al stimulators, and shopped after! We discussed the latest research on s*xual health interventions including pharmaceuticals and non-pharmaceuticals (Pelvic PT, s*x therapy, CBT).

Big thanks to the caring and passionate NOLA pelvic rehab providers who are doing the good work and showing up! In attendance were Pelvic Physical Therapists, Pelvic Physical Therapy Assistants, Pelvic Occupational Therapists, and S*x Therapists!

🍋 Keeping Pilates fresh

broadens my horizons of what Pilates practice can look like! I’m a few months in to independent study within a semi-private class setting. It’s a choose your own adventure in a small group setting and more self direction than instruction. Everyone works on different routines, but energized to work alongside others.

I’ve read this is how training with Joe Pilates was, he didn’t teach group equipment classes and everyone worked on their own routine independently.

I’ve been mostly working on the advanced classical reformer order and I have an aha moment every.single.time. Thanks so much to Lori for creating a dedicated space to practice in this way. After 22 years of practicing Pilates, this is new!
