Our residents and research fellows presented at this year's Louisiana Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting. They enjoyed sharing their research and learning from local colleagues. Congratulations to PGY3 Sione Ofa for winning first place in the Best of LOA Research Presentations for "Comparing Return-to-Sport and Outcomes of Ulnar Collateral Ligament Repair vs. Reconstruction."

New Orleans is a host site for National Shoulder and Elbow Week, sponsored by the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons ASES. Drs. Buddy Savoie and Mike O'Brien are on the local planning committee. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Ollie J. Edmunds, Jr., a beloved member of the Tulane Orthopaedics family whose impact on our department and the field of orthopaedic surgery was profound.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial gifts be made in Dr. Edmunds’ honor to either the J. Ollie Edmunds Jr., MD Lectureship in Orthopaedics or the J. Ollie Edmunds Research and Education Fund.
