This is the premier episode of my interview with Mathew Bowyer. He was the bookie for Shohei Ohtani's interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara. Ippei lost $40M to Matt and is now serving 57 months in prison for his actions. He paid Matt $16M using Shohei's bank account. Many, myself included, felt that Shohei had to at least know this was happening. Matt shares his thoughts on the whole situation. Bowyer will be sentenced on 8/29/25 and is expected to get 15 months.
