We are a state of the art prosthetics facility located in Mid-City, New Orleans, Gulfport, MS, and a new location on the Westbank of New Orleans.

Creator of the HiFi™ Soft Socket System Since 1989, Curt Patton has been dedicated to providing state of the art prosthetic limbs in a caring and professional manner. He started his career as a student trainer at the University of Georgia and then practiced as an ATC for several years before moving into the prosthetics field. Since becoming certified by the American Board for Certification in Prosthetic and Orthotics, he has spent most of his career owning and managing his own company. He is certified to fit the latest Microprocessor technology, including the C-leg, Plie, Orion knee systems as well as the Biom and Elan Microprocessor feet. He specializes in Vacuum Suspension systems and Sub Ischial Transfermoral Sockets. He developed the HiFi™ Soft Socket System to enhance the health of the residual limb while restoring maximum function. We are centrally located in Mid-City, New Orleans, in a a 5500 square feet state of the art prosthetic facility, including a 1000 square feet gait lab with ramps and stairs for prosthetic fittings. Our newest location is located in Gulfport, MS (by appointment only).

PDAC Approves Additive Manufacturing for Prosthetic Devices

A major step forward for innovation in prosthetics!

On September 18th, the Pricing, Data Analysis and Coding (PDAC) Contractor and the Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractors (DME MACs) announced updated guidance from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS): additive manufacturing (3D printing) is now officially recognized as an acceptable fabrication technique for prosthetic devices.

This recognition not only validates years of progress in the field but also opens the door for broader adoption of 3D printing in clinical practice. For prosthetists, this means new opportunities to innovate while ensuring compliance with correct coding guidelines.

This check socket was printed with a 1.0 m nozzle in PETG. Check sockets are a vital part in the prosthetic making process and make sure that we get the fit perfect for each patient before building their leg with a carbon fiber socket. We use digital fabrication to build out relief areas and add compression to soft tissue. Making adjustments digitally is just as fast, if not faster than traditional thermoplastic.

As a bilateral above knee amputee, our patient Mr. Joe takes his as a restauranteur. Mr. Joe has been with for 6 years, and with help from our team, he now walks independently. His restaurant, serves wings, seafood, burgers and more. Fatboy Eats is now open and can be found at 4757 HWY 1 in Raceland, LA.

We printed this socket in KYRON MAX, a very special thermoplastic material with carbon fiber. A recent white paper from PROTEOR discovered that these 3D printed sockets are just as strong as traditional sockets!
