Hello! A lot of updates going on at the office! Our new portal FollowMyHealth started to send out invites today as if the kids were adults, which doesn't work well if you have multiple children. We will be sending our parents an Authorized Individual Invite. The patient's name will be in the blue link. If you have a FollowMyHealth account click "Sign In & Connect" if you do not already have an account click "Sign up & Connect". Sign up with your information, it will then connect the patients account. The security code is 1234. If you would like to receive your email sooner, call the office and we will get you set up.
The insane part of this switch is that we were not allowed to configure the settings or test any of the applications before going live! Obviously, that is insanity. So, there will be some growing pains, but that said, I have already had 3 parent messages come through this afternoon, so the messages are getting through to me.
Also, we have our medicaid vaccines arriving tomorrow, so by Friday we will be able to give our medicaid patients their vaccines. I realize this has been a long wait, but there is a lot of behind the scenes procedures that need to take place for us to be able to do this.
Speaking of vaccines, Covid vaccines have gone very well, and we only had a few denials, and even those are likely to be worked out. We no longer require paying first for most of the major insurance plans we take, so in general, you can expect it to be treated like any other vaccine by your insurance company.
Please try to switch over to the new portal ASAP, it has more features, and the old portal will be discontinued in January.
