Today we remember Clare Stevenson, the longtime owner of Stevenson Memorials, who passed away at the age of 83.
During the transition of ownership in 2013, I had the privilege of working alongside him during that first year of transition. It was a time I’ll always be grateful for. Clare shared not only his knowledge of the monument business, but also the heart behind it, serving families with compassion as they honor their loved ones.
I’ll always remember our lunches at Dee’s, which Clare jokingly insisted on calling “dinner.” Those moments were filled with laughter, stories, and wisdom.
Clare was respected and loved by his staff, and it meant a lot to see how all the staff stayed through the transition because of the care they had for him.
On behalf of our family and the staff at Stevenson Memorials, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Clare’s family. We are grateful for the time we had with him and the legacy he leaves behind.
Rest in peace, Clare. Your legacy continues.
