ALERT❄️With cold weather returning to our area next week, is opening Cold Weather Shelters Monday 2/23 and Tuesday 2/24. Anyone in need of a warm place to spend the night can head to:

The shelters will open each day at 6 p.m. and close at 10 a.m. the next day.

The cold weather expected could be dangerous for anyone who is outside for long periods of time. Children, the elderly and pets are especially vulnerable to the cold, and extra care should be taken to protect them.

Our Opioid Action Committee continues to build strong, trusted partnerships across Pasco County — and today, that collaboration is creating real impact. Thanks to the leadership of our committee chairs and the dedicated support of partners like BayCare and the Pasco County Department of Health, harm‑reduction vending machines are now installed and available in the community, offering free, life‑saving resources to anyone who needs them.

We’re grateful for the teamwork that brought this project from planning to reality. Together, we’re expanding access, reducing harm, and strengthening the safety net our community deserves.

The innovative program, which aims to reduce the number of overdose deaths in the county, is the newest way BayCare is working with community partners to make behavioral health care more accessible.
