As we continue our research on prevention-focused treatments and chronic disease programs, we must highlight the importance of sleep and it's vital role in overall health.

Sleep has a massive effect on many areas of health, such as: heart, immune system, brain function, and mental health -- experiencing poor to no sleep over long periods of time may lead to increased risk for conditions such as hypertension, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and mood disorders.

Prioritizing consistent, good quality sleep is one of the great ways to improve certain aspects of health in our day-to-day and helps reduce risk for serious conditions later on.

It’s Patient Safety Awareness Week.

Safety is the foundation of every research study we conduct.

Before anyone joins a study, they review a detailed consent form, have the opportunity to ask questions, and meet with our medical team. Throughout the study, participants are closely monitored, and safety is reviewed regularly.

Clinical research only works when participants feel informed, supported, and protected.

Eating disorders can affect people of any age, gender, background, or body type. They are complex medical and mental health conditions — not a choice, not a phase, and not something you can “see” just by looking at someone.

Awareness starts with understanding. Support starts with compassion.

If you or someone you love is struggling, know that help is available and recovery is possible. No one should face it alone.

Call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest until help arrives.

This , we encourage everyone to learn the signs and be prepared. Awareness and action save lives.

You can be a hero for someone you love. Saving a life with Hands-Only CPR doesn’t take medical training. It takes courage. And it takes knowledge.

Remember, if you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest until help can arrive.
