Wednesday Carrie and I went to the Community Services Council of West Pasco‘s grant award meeting. We were honored with a $1000 grant to cover interpreter costs for the trainings we provide.
Thank you to Rose Coman for interpreting for us!

Our Story

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services of Florida (DHHS) has been serving deaf and hard of hearing residents of Pasco and Hernando Counties since 1983. The agency provides services to people in these counties who are dealing with hearing loss as well as the people who need to communicate with them including: case management and counseling; job placement and employment services, community education and communications strategies classes, telephone and assistive device distribution and sales, advocacy, information and referral. Programs offered are based on community needs that are determined through consumer feedback, staff evaluation and historical evidence of their effectiveness. There are ample classroom facilities appropriate for individual and group instruction using American Sign language and the latest technology designed for deaf and hard of hearing individuals including public video phones and internet service.
