Bayou Health and Healing

Bayou Health and Healing I provide mental health counseling services in New Roads and via Telehealth for ages 6-65, with a variety of mental health and behavioral disorders.

I use a variety of techniques and skills based on the client's needs. Ashley Bayoumi obtained her master's degree in Counselor Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She has been practicing as a LPC for 15+ years. Ashley works with a variety of clientele and mental health issues. She specializes in helping people work through anxiety, grief, and trauma, as well as other mental health disorders. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband of 16 years and two sons. Self-care is important for mental and physical well-being. Ashley's self-care consists of gardening, traveling, music (especially live music), and all things horror and scary.

A child’s behavior is often a reflection of how full (or empty) their emotional cup feels.
Connection, validation, and encouragement go a long way. 💛 🥤
Filling their cup doesn’t take big moments, just small, consistent ones.
The way we listen, validate, and connect becomes their inner voice.

Sometimes the very roles that once protected you can begin to feel too small for the person you are becoming. What once felt safe may no longer feel like home, and that realization can be both unsettling and freeing.

Growth often asks you to release old versions of yourself before you feel fully comfortable in the new one. It takes courage to step beyond what once defined you and trust that you are allowed to evolve.

Outgrowing something does not mean it was wrong for you before. It simply means you are ready for more space to become who you truly are.

The internet is full of noise, opinions, and endless distractions. But your purpose requires focus. The life you want is built in the quiet moments when you choose discipline over distraction and stay committed to what truly matters.
