October at H.O.P.E.- We are always happy to see James on delivery day! Our neighbors were provided with brown bags, meat, bakery items, cereal, juice and fresh produce this month. We are thankful for our volunteers who help served 276 households/468 individuals in October. The members of our local Woodmenlife Chapter 1154 presented a flag to our Food Pantry. We participated in Trunk or Treat at the 2025 Fall Festival held at First Baptist Church. We appreciate the support of our community as we work together to serve others.

September at H.O.P.E.- Our local NRG ladies volunteered at H.O.P.E. during positiveNRG week. They helped prepare the brown and snack bags and worked at our drive-thru food pantry distribution. We appreciate the time they spent at H.O.P.E. and the donation we received from NRG. Our volunteers served a total of 260 households/461 individuals in September. We are thankful for the donations we received from New Roads Motor Company through the Southern Quality Ford Dealers Building Together Campaign. We are grateful for our supporters and volunteers as we work together to serve our community.

August at H.O.P.E.- We were able to provide fresh produce to our neighbors this month thanks to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. Our volunteers prepared and distributed food to 244 households/435 individuals . We purchased and delivered more school supplies to help local students in need. Thank you to those who made monetary donations to Pack The Bus. Our local Woodmenlife Chapter 271 donated gift cards for use in our Food Pantry. We are so thankful for the support of our wonderful community!

July at H.O.P.E.-the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank has the best drivers, we love to see their smiling faces! Our volunteers are awesome-they served 257 households/456 individuals in July. We helped Pack The Bus and rode a school bus to pick up school supplies for local students in need.

Our 2nd Annual Pack The Bus school supply drive was a success thanks to our generous community! We boarded a First Student bus along with our partners and picked up school supplies along the route. All of the school supplies collected were delivered to the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board Office. We are so grateful for the support of Synergy Bank, our community partners, volunteers and all those who made monetary and school supply donations to help our students succeed in the classroom.

June at H.O.P.E.-We are thankful for our partnership with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. The GBRFB delivers food monthly to H.O.P.E. and donated a new sign for our Food Pantry. This month we were able to provide fresh produce to our neighbors. We are grateful for our volunteers who worked over 200 hours to help us provide food to 278 households in our community.

April at H.O.P.E.-We received our delivery from the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank on the same day the canopy was installed for our new distribution area! The canopy area provides more space for our monthly food distribution and shelter for our volunteers. Our Pre-K friends at Catholic of Pointe Coupee held a Lenten food drive and helped us stock the shelves in our food pantry. We received a generous donation of baby formula. If you live in Pointe Coupee Parish and are in need of this type of formula, please contact our office at 618-8300. We served a total of 287 households through our food pantry!

March at H.O.P.E.-We look forward to our monthly delivery from the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, we are thankful for food drives that help us stock our pantry shelves and we have the best volunteers that assist with Food Pantry prep, during distribution and on their spring breaks! Meet two of our volunteers who pick up weekly food donations from our local Wal-Mart. H.O.P.E. participates in the Retail Donation Program as a Member Agency of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. The donated food is used during our monthly food pantry distribution, along with food we receive from the GBRFB and food we purchase with donations. February at H.O.P.E.-Willie delivered our food from the GBRFB, he has the best smile! False River Academy held a food drive to celebrate the 100th day of school and delivered over 500 pounds of canned goods to H.O.P.E. Our neighbors at Pelican Power helped with pantry prep and on distribution day. Our local Woodmenlife Chapter 1154 presented a check to H.O.P.E.’s board for use in the Food Pantry. Pelican Power donated new carts for the food pantry and new wheels for our old carts. We are so thankful for the support we receive from our community. Our awesome volunteers helped us provide food for 285 households/498 individuals this month.
