Meditation is like exercise for your mental/emotional health. The tricky thing is that it's hard to notice the benefits while you are doing it. I have often felt like "meh, sure I'll meditate but I still sometimes feel grumpy, irritable, and at times down right angry"
However, what I have noticed in the past few months when I haven't meditated is that OH, I feel even more off balance when I don't take the time to meditate.
So there is value in setting aside time and meditating even if it doesn't SEEM like it's doing anything.

What does my meditation usually consist of?
- Sitting
- Breathing.
- Noticing that I have stopped paying attention to my breath.
- Trying to focus on breathing again.
- Wondering what to eat later
- Breathing again
DING. Timer goes off, and I move on.
