After much prayer and reflection, I’ve decided to take a temporary break from in-person doula support.
The past few months have been intense as our family walked through our daughters surgery and recovery, and I’m realizing that I need a little space to emotionally recharge and focus on being present for and with my family. Thank you to everyone who has loved and supported us during this time. 💛
Ironically, last night I attended two births back-to-back at the same hospital, just three hours apart. Both mamas rocked their all-natural births and reminded me once again of the incredible power, strength, and wisdom of a woman’s body. It felt like such a beautiful and meaningful way to pause this season of in-person support. 🤍
For now, you’ll find me working at the world’s cutest boutique on Flagler Avenue, which has been such a fun and refreshing change of pace!
This is not the end of my doula career—just a much-needed pause for this season. I will still be:✨ Teaching childbirth education classes✨ Offering virtual birth coaching✨ Supporting families with education and guidance
Walking alongside families during pregnancy and birth is something I deeply love, and I look forward to continuing that work in ways that fit this season of life.
Thank you for your understanding, encouragement, and prayers. 🤍

Holly being apart of my birth experience meant a lot to me. We are both doulas and good friends. I knew when I got pregnant again I really wanted more support this time around for my birth. I obviously can’t be my own doula and I immediately thought of Holly. I knew her calming and kind nature would be perfect for helping me have the birth experience I wanted. She was very supportive with all the things I was envisioning for my birth and held space for me throughout my labor and birth. Her gentle reminders throughout my labor really helped keep me going and encourage me throughout the most intense parts of my birth. I’m so grateful Holly was apart of my amazing birth experience and I would highly recommend her to any mother and family looking for a doula that is very caring and genuine for the best support.🫶🏻🙏🏻

Why a doula would hire a doula

Because even birth workers were never meant to carry it alone.

Scripture reminds us: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)

As doulas, we pour out—praying, supporting, holding space, standing in the gap.
But when it’s our turn to give birth, grieve, heal, or rest, God often meets us through the hands and presence of others.

A doula hires a doula for:
🤍 Christ-centered support and prayer
🤍 someone to speak peace when anxiety creeps in
🤍 advocacy when strength feels thin
🤍 gentle reminders that rest is holy
🤍 permission to receive instead of serve

Needing support isn’t a lack of faith.
It’s an act of humility and trust in how God designed community.

Even Jesus asked others to stay and pray with Him.

Every birth deserves support.
Even the birth worker’s.
Even ours.

Every postpartum visit looks different.
It really depends on what the mother needs that day.

Most of the time, I don’t hold the baby.
It’s more like sitting and talking through their birth story, letting it come out when they’re ready.

Sometimes support looks like a cooked meal.
Sometimes it’s light housekeeping or folding laundry.
Sometimes it’s just listening and being there.

And sometimes, I get to hold the baby
so mama can shower, nap, or just take a breath.

Postpartum care isn’t one thing.
It’s meeting a mother where she is.

Second baby of the New Year ✨
This sweet arrival was born via a scheduled cesarean 💛

Did you know that doulas support families through cesarean births too?

Doula support doesn’t stop at spontaneous labor. We support planned and unplanned cesareans by:
• Helping families prepare emotionally and mentally for surgery
• Explaining what to expect before, during, and after a cesarean
• Supporting informed decision-making and birth preferences
• Offering calming presence and advocacy in the OR when allowed
• Supporting bonding, skin-to-skin, and feeding after birth
• Providing postpartum support for recovery, rest, and adjustment

Every birth matters. Every family deserves support — no matter how their baby arrives 🤍

My first birth back after Emerson’s surgery, and what a gift it was.

This sweet home birth was beautiful, peaceful, and so clearly filled with the presence of the Lord. This mama absolutely rocked her birth—moving with grace, strength, and trust—while her two older children stood by her side, cheering her on every step of the way.

An incredible gender reveal at birth and a mama who accomplished every goal she set out for. I am beyond proud of her. What an honor to witness and hold space for such a sacred moment. 🤍

It’s been a year! So many answered prayers! I took the last two months off to be with my family as my daughter had surgery and is recovering well. I look forward to what 2026 has in store!
