Falling can cause serious injuries or even death. Call 701-627-7931 or 701-627-7942 to sign up for Stepping Strong, a fall prevention program for people aged 65 and older with mobility in their legs. Professionals from physical therapy, vision, community safety, and pharmacy will be on site. They will offer referrals when needed, conduct shoe evaluations, and the Public Health Nursing department will carry out home visits to assess risks.

Register today or share with a beloved elder. The last day to sign up is Wednesday, September 10th.

Marilyn Yellow Bird, EMHC Public Health Director, will retire at the end of the month. She has been instrumental in increasing access to our clinics in the community and played a pivotal role in MHA Nation’s COVID-19 response. Our gratitude for her involvement in every outreach, including coordination, immunization, and health recommendations, has no bounds. We wish her the very best in her retirement!
