We are thankful for the generous donation of three American flags and stands from the Ladies Legion Auxiliary. Don Wolling came up with the idea to have more flags around the building, especially since we have many Veterans that live there. Cindy Rueckert and Jenny Landsteiner were instrumental in helping Donโ€™s wish come true.

Our very own Karen Coyour is celebrating her 33 yr work Anniversary this month! Karen has worked as a RNA her whole career, now helping in restorative to help keep our residents functioning at their highest level. Years ago she specialized working in our memory care unit, and had a gift for connecting with the residents and making sure they not only had good quality care but had fun things to do as well. She would often lead group activities, dress up as KC the clown for Birthdays, and take residents out for lunch on her days off - known as Karens lunch bunch.
Thank you Karen for everything you do and for your many years of dedication!

Today, we join our community in honoring the return of Captain Willibald Bianchi.

At Oak Hills, we are privileged to care for many veterans who have selflessly served our country. Moments like this remind us of the deep gratitude we owe to those who gave everything in service.

We stand alongside our community and local partners in paying tribute as Captain Bianchi is escorted home and laid to rest with the honors he deserves.

Welcome home, Captain. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

What did you do for Earth day? We did several activities including painting our own tulips at crafts, making a dirt dessert snack - delicious, and our staff appreciation committee hosted a plant your own seed starter table.

The MLC Anchor group has been coming Tuesday evenings during the school year for several years. They play a variety of games with residents, and sometimes even just converse and listen. We appreciate this partnership with them and the residents thoroughly enjoy their visits! Thank you for another great year!
