New Moon Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse
Feb. 17, 2026 in 28°49’ Aquarius at 7:03 AM EST
Saturn–Neptune Conjunction at 0° Aries
Beginning of the Fire Horse Year
What big change energy this New Moon In Aquarius Eclipse ushers in! And we don't have to wait for tomorrow because we are already in the dark of the Moon in Aquarius. This is the big week we've been waiting for and it already feels like nothing will ever be the same in the months ahead. The following is a sharing by Davina MacKail from medium.com that I think rings all the bells for the week ahead:
"There are moments in astrology that feel personal. There are moments that feel collective.
And then there are moments that feel historical. This Annular Solar Eclipse belongs to the third category.
The Sun and Moon meet at 28°49’ Aquarius, the sign that governs collective systems, technology, ideology, and the architecture of the future. Close to the anaretic degree, the degree of culmination and reckoning, Aquarius has run its experiment, it has tested its theories. Aquarius at 28° is wise, uncompromising, visionary, and tired of compromise. It has walked the long arc of collective evolution. It has experimented, disrupted, invented, dismantled. Now it stands at the gate asking the question:
What kind of world are we actually building?
Aquarius governs the collective mind. It rules networks, social reform, humanitarian movements, digital systems, and shared ideals. When a Solar Eclipse lands at the final degree of this sign, something in the collective script completes.
Pluto is newly seeded in Aquarius, reshaping power structures from the inside out. Mars is also in Aquarius, adding heat and urgency to ideological movements, digital activism, and the courage to speak truth to institutions. The eclipse is activating this territory with intent.
Solar eclipses function as cosmic resets. They override the usual lunar cycle and initiate longer 6 month arcs of unfolding. Something collective is being eclipsed and re-patterned: outdated visions of progress, hollow rhetoric around equality and technological advancement without soul. The air is electric with ideological heat. We are being asked to mature our relationship with the future and truly choose for the next 7 generations to come.
On a personal level, Pluto in Aquarius asks for sovereignty within community. Where have you diluted your originality in order to belong? Where have you outsourced your authority to group consensus? The era emerging now requires both collaboration and inner autonomy.
The Sun and Moon are square Uranus in Ta**us. Uranus in Ta**us destabilises what we thought was solid. Money. Land. Food. Security. Resources. It disrupts comfort zones and inherited value systems. When the Aquarian eclipse forms a square to Uranus, collective narratives around economy, environment, and material stability are shaken.
Markets may fluctuate. Institutions may wobble. Policy announcements may arrive abruptly. But the deeper message is not chaos, it is recalibration. If the foundations are not aligned with the future, they will not hold.
Individually, this square asks: where are you clinging to outdated security models? Where are you afraid to innovate because it threatens comfort?
Aquarius wants freedom. Ta**us wants safety. Uranus demands authenticity.
Something has to give.
Saturn and Neptune at Zero Aries: The Initiation Point
This is not a subtle sky, three days after the eclipse, Saturn and Neptune perfect their conjunction at 0° Aries. At the very first degree of the zodiac, on the World Axis, the ignition point of identity itself.
Saturn is structure, governance, accountability.
Neptune is vision, mysticism, dissolution.
When they meet at 0° Aries, we are witnessing the birth of a new spiritual architecture.
Zero degrees Aries is primordial fire. It is the spark before identity forms. Saturn–Neptune cycles occur roughly every 36 years, but their conjunction at this precise degree is extraordinarily rare. Astrological calculations trace the last occurrence back at least 6000 years. (more than 6300 years!)
Expect narratives around leadership, governance, faith, borders, technology, and climate to undergo profound restructuring over the next few years. Some ideologies will collapse. Others will manifest into form.
The symbolism is unmistakable: Illusions built into systems dissolve. Spiritual narratives that lack integrity collapse. Leadership that cannot embody vision falters. At the same time, new frameworks begin to crystallise. Ones with structures infused with soul, governance informed by conscience and responsibility shaped by compassion.
On a personal level, this conjunction asks a quieter question: What dream are you willing to take responsibility for?
Not imagine. Not romanticise, but actually make.
Neptune dissolves what is false. Saturn demands that what remains be real. And Aries ignites action. We can’t drift into the next era we have to build it.
The Fire Horse Ignites
Then there is the other fire entering the field. This eclipse also opens the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse.
The Horse is movement, independence, instinct, momentum. The Fire element amplifies intensity, volatility, speed, charisma, and combustion. Fire Horse years historically carry dynamism and disruption. They do not move cautiously. They gallop. Look back to 1966 our last fire horse year for confirmation of that.
When you layer Fire Horse energy over a Solar Eclipse at the final degree of Aquarius, square Uranus, and framed by the Saturn–Neptune conjunction at zero Aries, the symbolism becomes compulsive — this is massive acceleration.
Fire Horse energy does not tolerate stagnation. It magnifies passion and magnifies impulsivity. It fuels innovation and can inflame conflict. It emboldens leaders and exposes recklessness. It rewards courage and punishes complacency.
The volatility already indicated by Uranus square the eclipse becomes more combustible under Fire Horse influence. Markets may move sharply. Political narratives may ignite quickly. Collective moods may swing faster than expected.
Individually, people may feel a surge of urgency. A desire to act. To change direction. To break free. The key is to harness fire without being consumed by it. Think cosy pub on a winter’s night rather than raging infernos. The 3D world will continue to get louder and messier, our job is to stay grounded and centred within.
Saturn provides containment. Neptune provides conscience. Aquarius provides vision. Fire Horse provides propulsion. Used consciously, this is a year of courageous leadership and creative breakthrough. Used unconsciously, it becomes reactive and scattered.
Venus and the North Node in Pisces: The Soul of the Future
Amid the heat and volatility, there is grace. Venus moves through Pisces, exalted, and conjunct the North Node. Collective destiny bends toward compassion, artistry, intuition, and spiritual sensitivity.
Mercury in Pisces trines Jupiter in Cancer. Conversations can heal. Emotional intelligence expands. There is genuine capacity for empathy beneath the noise.
Jupiter in Cancer strengthens ancestral memory and protective instinct. It encourages us to build futures that honour belonging rather than fragmentation.
This soft water current runs beneath the fire. Without this layer, the Fire Horse could scorch. With it, the fire illuminates.
The Emotional Body and the Nervous System
Lilith in Sagittarius stirs truth that refuses suppression. Chiron in Aries continues to surface wounds around identity and courage. The Cancer rising tone of this eclipse reminds us that emotional regulation is not a luxury. It is essential.
When skies are this large, people can feel ungrounded. Saturn–Neptune dissolves familiar narratives. Uranus destabilises security. Fire Horse accelerates reaction. Stability will not come from clinging to old systems. It will come from your inner alignment. Regulate the body. Anchor in breath. Move deliberately rather than reactively. Practice loving kindness.
Fire must be fed and directed to be truly effective.
The Larger Arc
This Solar Eclipse plants a seed at the end of Aquarius just as Saturn and Neptune ignite a new cycle at the beginning of Aries. It closes one ideological chapter and initiates another. The old dream dissolves. The new structure demands embodiment. This is initiation.
Aquarius asks: what future are we designing?
Pisces asks: does it have a soul?
Aries asks: who will act?
Fire Horse asks: how fast are you willing to move?
Working With This Eclipse
Do not rush to manifest under an eclipse of this magnitude. They are threshold points, liminal gateways and they require stillness.
Ask yourself:
What structures in my life are built on illusion?
What vision is mature enough to take form?
Where must I act with courage rather than hesitation?
Write one commitment. Practical. Grounded. Saturn-approved.
Then honour Neptune. Light a candle. Offer water. Pray if that is your language. Sit in silence if it is not.
Then honour Aries. Take one tangible step within seven days — send the proposal, end the contract, begin the discipline, speak the truth.
The future is not arriving from elsewhere. It is being authored by each of us in the now.
Under this Solar Eclipse and at the birth of the Fire Horse year, may we harness fire with wisdom, vision with responsibility, and courage with compassion.
We are not watching history. We are creating it. Wishing you all infinite new moon love and blessings."
