Designed for couples, friends, and solo participants alike, this one-hour experience focuses on deep stretching, mindful movement, and clear communication. Through supported partner work and intentional sequencing, you’ll explore hip-openers, heart-openers, and restorative shapes that encourage trust, ease, and presence. Coming solo? Winter invites us to slow down, turn inward, and tend to our deepest reserves. This workshop is a warm, grounding experience designed to support the Kidney and Bladder meridians, the energetic pathways associated with vitality, resilience, rest, and steadiness through the colder months.

Treena and Verónica will guide you through an accessible blend of breathwork, myofascial release, yin, and cupping to support both the physical body and the nervous system.

What to expect

• Breathwork to calm the nervous system, support deep rest, and help the body feel safe enough to let go
• Myofascial release using acupressure points, sometimes called Myoyin, combining yin holds with gentle pressure to release long held tension in the back body, hips, legs, and spine
• Meridian focused movement to nourish the Kidney and Bladder channels, supporting vitality, grounding, and emotional balance
• Cupping therapy to improve circulation, release stagnation, and help the body feel warmer and more open during winter

Each participant will receive their own pinky ball to use during the workshop and take home, giving you simple tools you can return to anytime for self-care and stress relief.

What is cupping?

Cupping is an ancient therapeutic practice where cups are placed on the skin to create gentle suction. This helps increase circulation, release tight tissue, and support healthy energy flow along the meridians. Cupping can leave circular marks that look like bruises. These marks are not painful and typically fade within a few days to a week. Participation is always optional.

• YUG controls how many third-party ClassPass slots are offered per class (unfortunately we have no control over credits to increase pay rate fairly)
• There are now zero ClassPass slots available on weekends
• A limited number of weekday ClassPass slots remain for now

⏰ Important dates to know:
• Tuesday, January 6 is the last day to purchase our New Year MAT & Reformer Specials
• It will also be the final days most Reformer classes offer any ClassPass slots
• After Tuesday, weekday evening MAT ClassPass slots will be very rare

👉 If you are currently booking through ClassPass and wish to continue practicing at YUG, you’ll need to transition to direct booking through the studio.

Designed for all levels, this vinyasa flow offers accessible options while still inviting deeper exploration for those curious to challenge themselves. Through mindful repetition, we’ll build strength, mobility, and awareness — not by forcing, but by listening.

Over time, you may notice yourself becoming not only more flexible, but also more grounded and resilient, both on and off the mat. For those who love to explore, we’ll weave in thoughtful peak poses that invite strength, focus, and a sense of play for more advanced practitioners.

Originally from Greece, Sonia moved to New York City to study engineering and discovered yoga as a way to stay grounded while navigating the fast pace of city life. Now a busy professional in the real estate and construction industry, she continues to lean on her practice to find balance between structure and flow, effort and ease. Certified in both 200-hour and 300-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Reiki I, Sonia brings a mindful and intentional approach to her teaching. Yoga became her anchor through life’s transitions and inspired her to create Namaste City, a lifestyle philosophy and community that helps others find calm amidst the chaos. Through her classes, she blends mindful movement, breath, and energy awareness to guide students toward balance, strength, and self-connection; both on and off the mat.
