A new twist on purse wine!
Did you ever bring your own wine to an event that you knew wouldn’t be serving something you liked or to drink (not driving) on the way? Yikes. Me too. Now I’m still bringing my own wine to parties and events but it is AF!

In this episode of the Sober & Lit Podcast Ruby and I share how you can say no by saying YES! With strategies to take care of yourself so you don’t end up caving or white knuckling it.
What you will learn:
✨ Why saying no isn’t about willpower (it’s about wiring + people-pleasing) ✨ How family dynamics and social pressure quietly pull you back in ✨ Simple ways to prepare before events so you don’t panic in the moment ✨ Go-to phrases that feel natural (not awkward or rehearsed) ✨ Why bringing your own alcohol-free drink can be a game changer ✨ How to honor yourself and belong — at the same time

This episode is equal parts heart, honesty, and practical tools you can use tonight.

Most sobriety stories focus on rock bottom and day one.
But the truth?
Most of your life will be lived in the long middle.
The awkward social moments.
The lonely Tuesdays.
The seasons where you’re “doing everything right”… and still feel unpolished.

That’s why Chris believes we need more honest conversations about long-term sobriety:
not perfection… presence. And Sober Social Spaces to Practice!

On the Sober & Lit Podcast episode 106 out today, Chris shares his story, a powerful reminder of the importance of connection and community in our lives. His journey from dependency to empowerment illustrates that it’s never too late to seek help and make a change.

By sharing his story, Chris not only inspires those facing addiction but also encourages a cultural shift towards more inclusive and supportive social environments.

Listen ➡️ the end for the BEST Part- What Chris does to Feel Lit Alcohol free? You’ll never guess!!!
