Running. Resting. Lifting. Working. Cardio. Carbohydrates. Breathing. Fasting. Cold plunges. Caffeine. HIIT. Saunas. Green juice. Breath holds. Social media. Time off.

Some is great. Too much is not.

I don’t view moderation and health as never pushing yourself and only staying medium intensity life constantly, but instead the ability to push a bit in either direction from time to time and still return back to homeostasis.

And IMPORTANTLY where the line of moderation is for each one of these activities is wildly individualistic.

It depends a lot on the state of your nervous system and your currently level of fitness.

The same work out that is challenging and beneficial for one person could be damaging and create injuries in another.

The same breath holds that could be calming for me, might bring panic to you.

To know where the line of moderation is for you is an invaluable skill must be cultivated.

in the fastest way to get there to work with someone who understands the why behind the activities, can help individualize exercises for your specific goals.

Most actors, singers and dancers aren’t concerned with their abilities, but their ability to stay calm, grounded and connected to their breath under pressure.

This workshop will teach you research supported techniques to do so more consistently.

You’ll explore:
+4 keys to functional breathing
+What a stress response is and tips for harnessing it
+How mindsets impact your physiology
+How your Nervous system relates to your ability to feel emotions
+Downregulation and grounding breathing and somatic exercises

Additionally, what new research points to is that your ability to be in touch with our emotions has a great deal to do with your nervous system and that this connection between mind and body can be improved through training.

Through harnessing and improving this connection, you will gain easier access to your emotions during a scene, song, or dance.

A big thank you to Kevin for teaching us valuable breathing techniques last night (and now I’ve got to stop breathing through my mouth when running?!?!?)

Hey. 2023. You and me.

If you know you should breathe better, figure out how to stop feeling so anxious or finally alleviate stubborn neck soreness there is no better time then now.

I understand that you aren’t the problem-our society, smartphone and sedentary lives aren’t set up to help us thrive. BUT that doesn’t mean there aren’t things we can do to help take more control over how we move and feel. I’d love to help on that journey.

Sign up for a free consult call and let’s figure out how I can help you thrive and make meaningful changes in the next year.

While I don’t agree with “can’t” I totally agree with the sentiment.

If you are experiencing anxiety and stress that shows up in your body, are you trying to feel better only through mental methods (thinking, talking, therapy) or are you also including anything body related?

If not, it’s certainly worth trying as they are cheap and without side-effects.

Your breath is a great place to start. DM me to set up a free consult call to get started today.

If I teach an incredible, packed workshop but I don’t post edited reels recapping the experience, did it really happen?

If I spent all week helping individuals unlock tension they never knew they had, but I don’t post about it, does it even matter?

Of COURSE the answers are yes, it happened and yes, it matters, but my goodness as someone running a business in the health and wellness space the pressure to make sure it’s documented, to use it for marketing and to inspire fomo is HIGH.

But what happens when you take a week and just do the work? When you show up and stay present and just educate, guide and lead without simultaneously filming, curating and posting?

Mentally, this last week in Memphis felt incredible and the work was exciting.

But even so, I’m sure I’ll be filming and marketing and cultivating fomo with events in the future because…it works. AND the ends justify the means.

If I can inspire more people to take the step to reach out, invest in their health and discover how to improve their stress, anxiety, tension, and coordination then it’s worth spending my energy making what I do look “cool,” “trendy,” or “popular.”

But gosh I always feels so conflicted about posting and being loud about work that can be so quiet, individualized and intimate.

And it’s nice to put a pause on that sometimes :)
