URGENT UPDATE:
A vehicle drove into the side doors of 770 Eastern Parkway, Chabad Headquarters. Baruch Hashem, there are no injuries. Witnesses report the driver yelled for people to move before driving in, and the incident appears intentional.

The Shul was evacuated as a precaution. Please stay away from the area while authorities ensure there are no additional threats.

Shomrim is assisting the NYPD with the ongoing investigation. The driver has been arrested.

For two nights last week, suspects were seen with shovels entering a manhole in Crown Heights, alarming residents. Using Shomrim’s state-of-the-art operations systems, the vehicle and suspects were located and identified, and information was shared with NYPD. When the car returned Wednesday, Shomrim spotted it and police moved in - four suspects were positively identified and arrested. Great teamwork between Shomrim and the .

Thanks to the determination and grit of the Shomrim Operations Team, the tefillin stolen earlier today in South Crown Heights were successfully recovered, bringing great relief to their owner. While the perpetrator remains at large, we are confident he will be caught as well, iy”H. Stay tuned.

At approximately 12:30 PM, our volunteers responded to a theft in progress. Our team quickly intervened and kept the situation calm and controlled until police arrived. Thanks to a rapid response and close collaboration with , the suspect was placed under arrest, and all stolen items were recovered.

Last night at approximately 8 PM, Shomrim responded to a report of a subject acting erratically and stealing from a local store. Thanks to a rapid response, our volunteers successfully de-escalated the situation, and responding officers made an arrest.

Tonight our community came together outside our local firehouse—Ladder 123, Engine 234, and Battalion 38—to honor the heroes of the FDNY at a Menorah lighting. FDNY leadership, including the Commissioner and Chief of Department, stood alongside community leaders. Shomrim was proud to assist and play an integral role in organizing this meaningful event.
