I used to always obsess over having a specific goal whether that was cutting or bulking, getting stronger, hitting new PRS etc.
I always was pushing the needle forward towards SOMETHING.
I like a challenge.
I like the push.
BUT, sometimes it’s OK to not always have a specific goal for your body.
I truly believe as long as you’re always working on being the best version of yourself and evolving in other ways that aren’t always physical, that’s where I’ve been able to truly transform.
I’ve learned so much about myself through every phase and every journey that I’ve ever been on.
I always thought that working towards a specific goal would make me happy but what I’ve actually learned is the journey itself is sometimes the most fun and most empowering.
My body has changed so much over the years that I’ve learned to not get fixated on one specific body or one specific number for the rest of my life.
I’ve learned that accepting the scale will fluctuate, my body will change and I will always have new goals and new challenges that I’ll be faced with.
Instead of always obsessing over a number focus on the things that bring you joy, make you feel good and allow you to learn the most about yourself.
Fitness doesn’t always have to be black or white, it doesn’t always have to be one extreme to the other.
I’ve found so much happiness this past year by just simply LIVING, eating around maintenance, tracking macros loosely but taking free meals & eating intuitive when I want to, pushing myself in the gym & focusing on recovery and allowing my body to rest.
I’m excited to set some new goals for 2026, continue to push myself & remind myself how much I’m truly capable of.
